The European tree frog only grows to a size of three to four centimetres. Although it is so tiny, it is hard to miss, because of its bright green colour. Only the belly is light brown to cream coloured. A striking dark brown stripe runs from its flat, broad muzzle past the eye over the entire side. That makes the tree frog easy to recognize. What a handsome guy!
The European tree frog looks smart and up for anything. Luckily, the job of weatherman, stuck in a jam jar, is a thing of the past. Now it gets to sit on rain-dampened leaves or use the sticky discs on its feet to shimmy up aquatic plants. Right now it is feeling very contented. Its belly is filled with crispy crunchy flies, and it can just enjoy the sunshine. Croak!
